Pozycja Akcja Katolicka a ewangelizacja. Harmonijny i integralny rozwój osoby ludzkiejWycisło, Janusz (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)Pozycja Alasdaira Maclntyre’a krytyka etyki nowożytnej i współczesnejBiesaga, Tadeusz (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)The article reconstructs Alasdair MacIntyre’s critique of modem and contemporary philosophy of morality. This critique, through its confrontation of various modem propositions of the theoiy of morality, reveals that the ethics of autonomous subjects whether in liberalism or in emotivism does not have as its foundations rational explanations of moral conduct, thus leaving us to our irrational impulses of will and emotion. A critical confrontation between modem and ancient ethics discloses why a modem project of moral theory failed. Having taken only fragments of teleological ethics of Aristotle or Aquinas, one could not reach rationality; that’s why, modernity created idiolects understood only within those fragments. When one does not have any rationality, one should draw from the rationality of Aristotle and Aquinas and develop it creatively. The rationality of such an ethics emphasises a necessity of the theory of virtue in philosophy and practice of morality. Omitting this essential element from modem and contemporary philosophy of morality makes ethics be formulated as a theory of egoism and, opposite to it, theory of conventional laws. In the social field this is realised as techniques manipulating others by a therapist and manager-expert of effectiveness.Pozycja Altruizm endo- i egzocentryczny a poziom niepokojuŚliwak, Jacek (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)The article is report on empirical studies concerning the connection between altruism endo-exocentric and anxiety. Altruism is understood here as undertaking actions for the benefit of other people without expecting outer rewards (Macaulay, Berkowitz, 1970 p.3). In the presented studies Karylowski’s (1982) division into two types of altruism was employed, namely, into endocentric vs exocentric altruism. In the studies the following methods were used: the A-N Questionnaire (cf. Sliwak 1988, 1993), the Moral Endo-Exocentrism — KEEM (cf. Kaiylowski 1982) the Cattell Anxiety Scale. The two former methods were used to measure the intensity of altruism (A-N) and to define the type of altruism (KEEM), whereas the latter one served to measure the level and structure of anxiety. With the help of these methods answers were sought to the following questions: 1. Are there any differences in level and structure of anxiety among endo- and exocentric altruists and control group. 2. Are there any differences in level and structure of anxiety among endocentric and exocentric groups. 226 Ss were examined (46,9% male and 53,1% female) whose age ranged from 23 to 33. Ss had at least secondary education. The results are the following: 1. It was found that the group with a lower level of altruism, in relation to the groups endo-and exocentrics has the highest level of latent anxiety. 2. It was also found, that endo- exocentric altruists are characterized by identical scores in general anxiety. The anxiety profils of these groups are exactly parallel to each other (with a minimal distance between them). 3. Additional information is supplied by the results from the sub-groups of male and female. Exocentric female obtained the lowest scores in the factor Q3 and L.Pozycja Archiwalia kościelne jako źródło do opracowania historii parafii. The answers of 230 men and 230 women were carefully analysed. The average age of respondents was about 35. Two thirds were within 23—46 years old. Half of them had secondary education, one fourth had university education. The examined people completed Attitude to Confession Scale that was prepared on the basis of earlier introductory researches carried out among penitents and confessors. This scale allowed to separate two groups of 68 people each, which show extreme attitudes towards confession, namely people with a strong positive attitude towards confession and people with a weak attitude. The more positive attitude towards confession, the greater desire of the penitent to talk to the confessor. Such penitents like confessors whom they can talk to. Penitents with a weak attitude towards confession want only to confess their sins and receive absolution and they think that no conversation during confession is needed. Penitents with a positive attitude towards confession state more often that a confession should be a friendly conversation, paying the attention to the good that is in every man. They share their experiences with confessors and even their difficulties not directly related with the confessed sins. They had one confessor for a long time whom they regarded as a friend. Penitents with a positive attitude towards confession say hat they would like to receive a concrete form of penance that would force them to make some effort. Penance should not be schematic but adapted to the concrete case. Penitents with a weak attitude towards confession say that they lack a real contact with a confessor because of lack of time, understanding and interest on the part of the confessor. W augustynizmie istnieje symbioza wiary i wiedzy. Pozycja Elementy patrylogiiSzczurek, Jan Daniel (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)Pozycja Epistemologiczna zasada niedookreśloności a problem racjonalności naukiŻyciński, Józef (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)Different versions of the so called underdetermination principle, proposed in the philosophy of science by W. Newton-Smith, M. Hesse, E. McMullin, accentuate that for any scientific theory T1, consistent with a set of accessible empirical data D, one can always introduce a set of alternative theories T2 Tn which differ in their content but remain consistent with the data D. In epistemological comments developed by supporters of the postmodernist philosophy, the underdetermination principle is interpreted as an expression of the internal irrationality of science. The paper provides criteria which permit to accept both the critical version of the underdetermination principle and a modified understanding of the rationality of science.Pozycja Giovanni Pico della Mirandola i jego nauka o godności człowiekaMajkrzak, Henryk (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)Pozycja Głoszenie Ewangelii w kontekście praktyki i myślenia magicznego. Pojęcie „osoby” jako podmiotu praw i obowiązków wywodzi się z prawa rzymskiego i ma bardziej znaczenie formalne. Natomiast termin „christifidelis” zawiera duży ładunek teologiczny i odnosi nas wprost do sakramentu chrztu świętego. W artykule zostały ukazane niektóre spostrzeżenia, nasuwające się w związku z zastosowaniem tych dwóch pojęć w prawie kanonicznym. Z analizy tej jasno wynika, na jakie trudności napotyka prawodawca kościelny, kiedy pragnie „przetłumaczyć” na język prawa kanonicznego eklezjologię Kościoła, szczególnie tę po soborze watykańskim II.Pozycja Kaplica Zwiastowania Najświętszej Marii Panny przy kościele Bożego Ciała w KrakowieNowobilski, Józef Andrzej (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)Adjacent to the Corpus Christi church in the district of Kazimierz in Cracow there is a late Mannerist chapel of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary which has not been scientifically documented yet. The circumstances of its foundation and a more precise date of construction have not been determined. No formal and stylistic analysis has been carried out and the authorship of the chapel has not been definitely solved. The chapel was built during the rule of Fr. Jacek Liberiusz who was the General Superior and Pastor of the Corpus Christi parish since 1644. The chapel of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary is attached to the south aisle of the church and situated between the Gothic chapel of St Anne from the west and the Mannerist vestibule from the east. Thus a line of different architectonic blocks with the dominant chapel of Mother of God is created. The chapel is founded on a square plan. Its spatial composition is simple. Outside there is a principle of piling three geometrical blocks: the lower one - high - in the form of a cube, the middle one - low - in the form of a window storey and the third one in the form of a semicircular dome with a lantern. The chapel is surrounded and covered up from two sides, namely from the west and to a smaller extent from the east. It is made of stone, with its main storey rusticated, whereas the upper part has got a flat stone lining with low and broad pseudo-Tuscan pilasters from both sides of the corners. On the southern elevation, on the background of the rustication, there is a commemorative tablet framed with shell-like ornaments with mascarons. To the interior of the chapel from the south aisle there leads a stone portal in the form of a rectangle closed by an arcade and single pilasters, fluted in a double way, with broad capitals. The interior of the chapel strikes first of all with its verticalism and Classical order of articulation (illustration 6). It consists of pilasters of great order rested on high stylobates. The pilasters in the corners are broken. The division of walls by vertical elements shows wide middle fields filled with blind recesses having an arcades close and concentrated pilasters near the comers. The capitals carry a proper entablature with a high frieze and prominent mould. The articulation and general expression of the interior are diametrically opposed to the outside of the chapel. The middle part corresponding to the second outer part constitutes a passage to the canopy of the dome which rests on quarter-circular arcades between which there are pendentives filled with paintings portraying the four Evangelists embraced with stucco frames decorated with shell- and ribbon-like ornaments. The chapel of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary at the Corpus Christi church in the district of Kazimierz in Cracow belongs typologically to the group of sepulchral domed chapels began by the chapel of Bishop Tomicki in the Wawel cathedral and developed at the end of 16th century by Santa Guci and his followers. The outside of the chapels was modified by the introduction of rustication. The classical architectonic division of the inside walls based on the pattern of triumphant arch was maintained. Therefore, the Kazimierz chapel belongs to the group of so-called Dominican chapels together with the chapel of the Myszkowskis, the chapel of St Jack, the chapel of the Lubomirskis in Cracow, the chapel of the Tenczyńskis in Staszów and the chapel of the Denhofs at Jasna Góra. Among them the Kazimierz chapel is the latest link and comparatively exactly dated (1640/44-1662, consecrated in 1673). Its author chose simplification of the block and detail, use of tectonics and limitation of ornamentation. He did not imitate exactly any of the chapels in spite of the undoubtedly definite provenance and particular forms and solutions. He enriched them with original motifs such as separating the second storey outside, window solution inside this area as well as decorative and symbolic motifs (especially the obelisks). In this light the chapel becomes almost a formal canon of this architectonic theme. The decoration also does not show any direct references to other works of that kind in Cracow. The authorship remains unknown and cannot be speculated on the basis of other contemporary works in Cracow. As far as details are concerned they cannot be related to any other works. The architect of the chapel of the Annunciation knew the architectural output in Cracow and Little Poland, being certainly Italian. Some ideas can be referred to the invention of Liberiusz.Pozycja Katedra na Wawelu w latach 1939-1945 w relacji księdza Kazimierza FiglewiczaUrban, Jacek (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)Pozycja Katolickie dzieła miłosierdzia w Krakowie w latach 1919-1939Piech, Stanisław (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)Pozycja Krakowski malarz Erwin Czerwenka i jego witrażeWroński, Józef Szymon (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)Pozycja Ksiądz profesor Tadeusz WojciechowskiKubiś, Adam (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)Pozycja Metafizyczna istota nauki według Martina HeideggeraRożdżeński, Roman (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)In 1920s there were suggested two basically different ways of understanding of the essence of science. The first of the suggestions expressed the views of the scientists and philosophers grouped in the so-called Vienna Circle (Wiener Kreis). Their opinion was that science is something completely opposed to metaphysics which is only an imitation of a real cognition. The second suggestion was formed by M. Heidegger. He maintains that science (i.e.all the scientific research) and metaphysics have the same essence, science being in fact a kind of an extension or continuation of metaphysics. Both metaphysics and science are interested exclusively in thingthat- is (Seiende) and are never interested in nonentity which, however, is the original form of being (Sein). This article concisely presents the reason of Heidegger’s opinion.Pozycja Metoda transcendentalna jako metoda metafizyki po zwrocie antropologicznymOko, Dariusz (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1996)
